For my inspired artwork project, I chose the Flowers from Book 1 and decided to incorporate an artist’s style in my project. I wanted to use Andy Warhol’s way of having the same picture in different colors and backgrounds. The flowers were already colorful, so I wanted to make different backgrounds in the quadrants of the coordinate plane. Although the end result looks simple, it actually took a lot of code to make it. One of the hardest parts of this project for me was trying to figure out how to make the petals on the flowers, as I haven’t worked with arc blocks a lot and had to figure out how to make the petals a specific shape. Making the stem was a hassle by its self, as I wanted to randomize the color and the position of the flowers. The stem would always turn different directions and I had to spend a lot of time (a full class period) to figuring out how to make the stem stand up straight. This project also helped me to become more used to arc blocks, and to better use fill blocks. Below are pictures of my code and the end result.
